Department: Campus Services
Reports to: Executive Director of Human Capital and Facilities Management
Scope and Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to read schematics and plans, and hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical issues. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards, as well as collaboration with a team to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance of elevators,generators, automatic doors, etc. by outsourced contractors.
- Supervise smoke detectors, fire panels, fire pumps, etc.
- Prepare a list of materials required for maintenance.
- Assist AUK departments with any technical assistance required for function set up, office rearranging, etc.
- Repair of locks & keys as required.
- Carry out general maintenance works of the building as required.
- Repair and maintenance of plumbing and mechanical systems including irrigation water supply system etc., as per requirement.
- Fix and maintain related work (electricity sockets, change light bulbs and TL starters).
- Repair and maintain power supply and interior-exterior lighting system.
- Carry out our general maintenance work of the building as required.
- Periodical Planned Preventive Maintenance of electrical panels and related equipment.
- Assist in the recruitment process by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation, coordinating orientation programs, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience
- Ability to read electrical plans and technical drawings, along with skills in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
- Ability to work physically to fix electrical equipment
- Familiarity with industry standards, electrical codes, and safety protocols.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, such as wiring, testing, and equipment maintenance

- Highschool or Diploma
